Prior to your request, please consider a few things:

•Subject matter – Will you need anatomical, scientific, biological, chemical, surgical, pharmaceutical, medical, or medical-legal illustrations?
•Audience – What is your intended audience? What level of medical education?
•Media – You can request your art to be created in traditional, digital or mixed media.
•Complexity of illustrations – This is one of the major indicators of the price per illustration. Depending on your audience, and how much information (how specific and detailed) the illustrations need to convey. A surgical illustration for example is usually more detailed and shows instruments and medical devices. Of course, the simpler the illustration, the lower the cost, but always consider the investment in the adequate type of illustration based on your audience and knowledge level.
•Number of illustrations and parts – A complete list of the illustrations and the number of parts in each are useful to have prior to beginning the project. This will also give you a more accurate price estimate.
•Style of illustrations – Line art, tonal art, black & white, grayscale, line art with flat color, full color rendering, photorealistic, etc. are different rendering styles to consider. •Timeline – Determine how soon you need the final product. A rush fee will be added on projects that have a very tight deadline and/or require a quick turn around.
•References provided vs. research or creative work involved – Keep your costs down by providing a sketch or an already developed graphic concept. If you require more creative guidance and would like the artist’s expertise in developing ideas, brainstorming, and conceptualizing, the artist will work with you along the way in creating original and custom medical art or graphics just for you.
•Final file format – Will you need digital files and what extension type will you need?
•Usage – Will the art be featured on the web, print media, or both, and for how long?
•Rights – Will you require exclusive rights or are we sharing copyright of the work? Exclusive rights and work-for-hire will incur in higher fees.
•Credit to Artist – If credit to artist is given on all illustrations and work (clearly displayed) the price is always lower.

GSCMI is more than just illustration and design, it is full creative services. Giovanna will work with you every step of the way to ensure that you are completely confident in that you are getting accurate and beautiful work that reflects you and your needs or those of your company or business.

Because every project is unique in its requirements and needs, price estimation will be very variable. Contact GSCMI with your requests and we will be more than happy to discuss your project needs and come up with an Estimate, Project Proposal and Timeline for Completion for you within 24–48 hrs of your inquiry.

In person meetings are preferred for Graphic Design, Interactive media and web work, however are not always necessary, and can be easily handled over phone or teleconference meetings.

•Printing – Will you require full service including printing service?
•Intended use – Will you require graphics for corporate identity, personal business marketing, advertising or other?
•Audience – What is your intended audience?
•Media – You can request your art to be created in traditional, digital or mixed media.
•Concept – Have something in mind or will you need help conceptualizing your design?
•Illustrations and custom graphics – Will you be providing photos or art to be integrated in your requested design, or will you need custom graphics and/or illustrations?
•Timeline – How soon will you need the final product. A rush fee will be added on projects that have a very tight deadline and/or require a quick turn around.
